Department of Mathematics

In recent decades, the scope of Mathematics has expanded in such areas as Engineering, Business, and Social Sciences. Due to its immense importance, the subject was included in the Higher Secondary. The subject is offered in both the courses in the Higher Secondary namely Arts and Science Streams. The Department was established in 2014 initially as the general course under the Gauhati University. In 2016, after the affiliation under the Bodoland University the Department offered Honours Course only. The Department has practical equipments available for the students. The main objective of the Department is to produce innovative and skilled community of students. The Department also aims to enhance the knowledge of the subject to pursue future research and to provide practical and pragmatic ideas to the students. The Department currently consists of five faculty members. The faculty members are highly experienced in teaching and are proficient in the subject.
