The department of Chemistry was established in the year 2014 and offered general course under Gauhati University through the Kokrajhar Govt. College, Kokrajhar and then the department is running as a separate campus from 2016 onwards after getting affiliation from Bodoland University. Presently, the department offers three years undergraduate degree program i.e. B.Sc. in Chemistry (Only Honours) as per the Syllabus prescribed by Bodoland University. The main aim and objective of the department is to focus on the all-round development of the students in subject concern. The department have well equipped one separate laboratory with about 30-40 students capacity for doing practicals. Presently, the Department has three faculties with specialization in Organic, Inorganic and Physical Chemistry and 41 Chemistry honour students including all the Semesters.
