The Department of Bodo was introduced with the establishment of the Degree section at U.N.Academy in 2014. Later, in 2019 P.G. course was opened with 30 intake capacity. The Department has bear a great responsibility to focuses Bodo language, literature, and culture to the greater interest of the Bodo community. Apart from doing daily classes the department itself has plan to prepare a wall magazine to uplift the intellectual exercise of the students. The department has organized first ever national seminar at college campus in collaboration with Bodo Department, Bodoland University i.e. “Nilkamal Brahma National Seminar” (NBNS).
